We are excited that, on a social cause, we were at "World of Cofee - Copenhagen! "
Few of us farmers in Wayanad gave our special processed samples for cupping, and Yay! we were one of the eight selected amongst 250+ estate produce!! Of we went to Cupping room2, World Of Coffee (WOC) Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 27th, under guidance of Madam Mrs. Sunalini Menon!
While Kerala Coffee Limited was kind enough to get a stall to show case Wayanad Indian Fine Robustas ( WIFR ), we participated from stall setupto brewing coffee with them, in return to showcase our beautiful Robustas that were in cupping - as Coffees of Wayanad.
Wayanad Coffee Growers Association (WCGA) brought in few more farmers, while Kerala Coffee Limited (KCL) focused on small tribal farmer and a small women Entrepreneur.
Our Coffee was selected as one of the top 8 coffees from 250+ plantation samples. These were Robustas from the farm, select-picked, cherries washed, floaters removed, and subject to anaerobic fermentation for hours and soft sun-dried on tables. These were carefully hulled and presented after quality checks.
